CHIQUITA BANANAS

Chiquita is one of the most iconic brands in the world. When they approached W+K about a comprehensive brand refresh, we went big, bold and fun. We spent a year and a half playing with, thinking about, touching, tasting, and making outdated telephone jokes about bananas. The project rolled out with a national out-of-home campaign which included billboards, murals made of thousands of Chiquita stickers, buses and train wraps all over the country as well as in London (one of which was captured in a scene during Season 2 Episode 3 of Fleabag!). As lead designer I helped develop the new brand look, create a detailed brand book, participate in several banana photoshoots, and execute a complex schedule of out-of-home production.

ELECTRONIC ARTS
​
The original Electronic Arts logo from 1982 incorporated three shapes - cube, pyramid and sphere. Today these shapes still express the brands culture of innovation and creativity, and also illustrate the deeply immersive 3D spaces gamers play in everyday. As fans sought direct relationships with the brands they love, Electronic Arts needed tools to show up coherently across multiple platforms - to both highlight the unique qualities of each franchise, as well as bring disperate elements and characters from across the EA universe together in an expressive, unified world.
From 3D and motion shapes wrapped in the textures and colors of each franchise, to immersive shape compositions and marbled color fields that dance around franchise characters or the EA wordmark - we created a dynamic, hard-working system that represents the vibrancy of the brand and provides distinction and support for Games, Studios, and Services through a strong hero brand. I helped shape this work, collaborating with 3D artists and experimenting with color, composition, and marbling techniques to create and organize these various brand expressions into a comprehensive styleguide and asset library.
