For the 2017 Solar Eclipse, W+K and Chiquita teamed up to claim the eclipse as a stunt to reveal a giant banana in the sky—The Banana Sun. The moment was celebrated with a series of web films, social activations, live coverage of the event on Funny or Die, a massive inflatable banana outside the Flatiron building in NYC, banana-shaped eclipse viewing glasses, and bananas-in-space ties sent to weathermen (and weatherwomen) at local news stations all over the country.
